White Fox Equestrian Center
Lessons
Our lessons are hand-tailored to each rider’s needs, and we strive to help everyone achieve their personal equine goals.
We provide one hour time slots for children over the age of six through adults. Lessons range from beginner to advanced, and while our focus is towards competition, we are also happy to teach those who are not looking to compete. Contact us today, and come be a part of Team White Fox!

Our goal is to create harmony between the horse and rider by teaching students the skills needed to correctly communicate with their horse. We focus, not only on the how of riding, but the why. Seeking to understand how our horses are interpreting our aids. At White Fox our riding is based on a balanced seat. This means that the rider is in balance with the horse, following the horse’s motion, and using their seat as the main form of communication.

Learning overall horsemanship is a central part of our philosophy. These animals give us so much, and we strongly feel that we owe them good stewardship including proper care and understanding of the horses' needs.

Meet the Trainer

Becky Herrle has been riding and competing for over twenty years. She received her degree in Equine Science from Wilson College in 2003 and began her career as a trainer at Colorado’s premier boarding facility, Cottonwood Riding Club. She then traveled to Milan, Italy for several months to work and train with international show jumper Alain Luesch. Becky returned to Pittsburgh to continue her career in her hometown. Becky has herself competed through Training Level Eventing and First Level Dressage and is currently working towards her Bronze Medal. She frequently attends clinics with top riders to further her own riding and enhance her knowledge and teaching. She has a great passion for horses and teaching, and is currently welcoming new students!
